Description
Description   Applied Behavioral Rehabilitation Institute (dba Homes for the Brave), opened in 2002, provides 42-beds of transitional living for homeless Veterans and non-Veteran males with 37 spaces designated for Veterans. The staff at Homes for the Brave (HFTB) are dedicated to helping every individual realize his goals for housing, employment, and independent living. Individuals must be able to self administer medications (or have nursing services) and live independently. Residents at HFTB have access to a fully-stocked kitchen, laundry room, computer lab, social meeting areas, and fitness memberships at the Cardinal Shehan Center. Alongside their assigned Case Managers and Vocational Specialists, residents establish goals in the areas of housing, income, and self-determination. In addition, based on individual needs, they will also attend living skills classes, pre-employment workshops, and computer classes.
