Description
Description   A 57 bed free standing psychiatric hospital that provides a wide range of mental health and addiction treatment services for children, adolescents and adults in eastern Connecticut. Our 33-bed Adult Inpatient Unit provides psychiatric care and detoxification treatment for adults ages 18 and over. Treatment is provided by psychiatrists, psychiatric APRNs, therapists, nurses, recovery support specialists, and occupational/creative therapy providers. All admitted to the hospital are assigned a treatment team, which includes a psychiatric provider, therapist, and nurse. They work with the person to identify an individualized treatment plan as well as an appropriate aftercare plan to promote a successful transition back to the community. Treatment also includes a robust group-based clinical program that is tailored for each person, offered by licensed mental health clinicians, certified occupational therapy assistants, creative therapists, and peer recovery support specialists.
